Biratnagar – Nepali Congress leader Dr Shekhar Koirala has said it is essential to hold health camps at every village to ease local people off general health problems.
Inaugurating a free health camp organized at Dangraha of Budhiganga rural municipality-7 in Morang on Friday, leader Koirala informed that the Nona Koirala Foundation was organizing such health camps so that people would get health and medical services.
The health camp was organized jointly by the Foundation and KHDC. “People are in need of health and medical services at their villages. Once such services are provided, it would help identify their health problems on time,” he reminded.
When the serious health problems are identified, the concerned people would visit the better hospital soon, Koirala added.
At the health camps, medicines were distributed free of cost for various health problems, including diabetes, kidney and heart diseases.
Even the services for ECO and ECG were provided on the occasion, according to General Secretary of the Foundation, Amit Shreevastav.
Over 500 people received health and medical services in the camp. Leader Koirala, who is also a medical doctor, involved in catering health services.
