NRNA Distributes Relief Supplies to 401 Flood-Affected Families in Panauti

The Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) has distributed relief materials to 401 families affected by the recent floods, inundations and landslides in Panauti-1, 2, 3 and 12 of Kavrepalanchok.

With the call of the NRNA International Coordinating Council and the financial support of the National Council UK, relief materials such as food, mattresses, tarpaulins, solar lights, and first aid boxes have been distributed.

The NRNA Secretariat informed that after the coordination with Panauti Municipality,  relief was distributed to 123 families of Ward No. 1, 53 families of Ward No. 2, 25 families of Ward No. 3 and 200 families of Ward No. 12.

The team led by President of NRNA Dr. Badri KC, Vice President Ramsharan Simkhada and Rozina Pradhan, central member Hemanta Kafle, Rajkumar Thapa and other officials participated in the handover program that went on behalf of the association.

After the distribution of relief, MP Gokul Banskota thanked the Nepali people living abroad for their help when they were facing problems in Nepal.

Earlier, NRNA had announced Nrs. 10 million aid for the victims of floods, inundation and landslides after incessant rains. According to that, NCC UK had aided 1.5 million.

NRNA President Dr. Badri KC and the team have already distributed relief in Dakshinkali and Sisneri areas and NRNA said that relief will be distributed in Lalitpur Thosnekhola on Wednesday.

The NRNA Secretariat has said that coordination with the local level is being carried out for distribution of relief in various districts of Terai.
