Shrestha elected chair of Nhuda 1145 celebration committee

A Newa leader and former minister Rajendra Shrestha has been elected as chairperson of Nhuda 1145 celebration committee to celebrate New Year, Nepal Sambat, this year. 

A meeting held under chairmanship of Prof Dr Naresh Man Bajracharya, chairperson of Nhuda 1144 Celebration Committee, on Friday elected Shrestha as the chairperson for this year unanimously.

Shrestha is recognized as an intellectual person in the Nepali society and had significant contribution in making inclusive constitution from the Constituent Assembly. He is chairperson of Janata Samajbadi Party. 

Similarly, the meeting also formed a 72-member main celebration committee to observe the Nepal Sambat 1145 throughout the country by organizing various programmes. Even a 17-member secretariat is put in place.
