Reconstruction begins in earthquake-hit area: Home Minister Lekhak

Bajhang: Minister for Home Affairs Ramesh Lekhak said that reconstruction of private house has begun in the earthquake-hit areas. 

Inaugurating the Earthquake Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Project Implementation Unit Office in Bajhang, Minister Lekhak shared that the rebuild work has initiated from the district office by formulating standards and regulations along with arrangement of necessary budget for the reconstruction of earthquake-hit structures in the district. 

“The implementation unit will coordinate for the reconstruction of public office buildings along with private house”, Home Minster Lekhak added. 

The local governments have vital role in the reconstruction of private house, he said, adding that reconstruction works will gain pace when the beneficiaries are identified and selected, and recommended sooner. 

The Home Minister said the rehabilitation of the disaster including earthquake hit people is the priority of the government and empathized on the need of united efforts from all sides for development.
