‘Province government arranges treatment to helpless citizens’

Bharatpur, April 5: Health Minister of the Bagmati province government, Kiran Thapa said the province government would take up the responsibility for providing treatment to the helpless citizens who have reached various rest houses seeking support. 

He said this while speaking at a seven daylong Shreemad Bhagawat Gyan and Bigyan Mahayagya organized by he Human Welfare Society Bhaktapur at Radheradhe in Madhyapur Thimi today. 

He urged the province government to find land to build an ashram. 

Minister Thapa pledged to provide treatment to orphans and helpless citizens living in various ashrams in Bagmati Province by linking them with health insurance.

“In the next fiscal year’s budget, we will make arrangements to provide testing and treatment of such citizens free of cost by linking it with health insurance”, he said. 

Recalling that the Human Welfare Society had been rescuing and nurturing various patients with mental illness, orphans and helpless citizens living on the streets in Bhaktapur since 2074 BS, he expressed the commitment to construct the building if the land was managed.
