Kathmandu : Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has vowed to address the issues concerning the Himalayas including that of Thame of Solukhumbu during the Sagarmatha Sambaad which runs from May 16-18.
PM Oli said it while receiving a report submitted by an organization, Sathsathai Foundation. The report incorporates the outcome of the mountaineers conference held at Thame of Solukhumbu and declaration of climate dialogue. PM Oli lauded that it was an effective initiative to hold a programme at foothills of mountains and dwell on critical issues.
“I will vibrantly raise the problems faced by the Himalayan people including that of Thame region in the Sagarmatha Sambaad.
The Foundation officials, including Chairperson Prajita Karki, reached PM’s residence, Baluwatar and submitted the report.
Karki also appreciated PM Oli’s special initiative to secure climate justice. The mountaineers’ conference had issued a five-point declaration, underscoring the significance of preservation of Himalayan ecosystem.
