Business Excellence Awards 2025 concludes

Kathmandu: The 9th NewBiz Conclave and Business Excellence Awards programme was held in Kathmandu by presenting honours to different nine companies and a senior businessperson.   

Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Damodar Bhandari and Vice Chairman of the National Planning Commission Prof Dr Shiva Raj Adhikari also attended the event organized in Kathmandu on Thursday.   

Started in 2013, this event has been a coveted regular annual event of the country’s business community. However, it could not be held in some years when the country was going through difficult times due to Earthquake, trade blockade and COVID-19.   

A panel discussion was held among the experts of the respective fields on the theme of “Driving Growth through Reforms”.   

Organized and sponsored by different private companies, Lifetime Achievement in Business Leadership was given to Babulal Chachan while the Best Managed Company of the Year was named Nepal Pharmaceuticals Lab.   

Likewise, the title of the Best Managed IT Company of the Year was awarded to eSewa, Special Recognition for Public Enterprise to Salt Trading Corporation, Best Managed Commercial Bank of the Year was Everest Bank and the title of the Best Bank in Digital Financial Services was given to Global IME Bank.   

Muktinath Bikas Bank was awarded as the Best Managed Development Bank of the Year and Shree Investment and Finance Company was picked as the Best Managed Finance Company of the Year.   

Sagarmatha Lumbini General Insurance Company was named as the Best Managed General Insurance Company of the Year and National Life Insurance Company was named as the Best Managed Life Insurance Company of the Year.   

According to the organizers, the companies and individual honoured were selected by different independent juries comprised of experts.
