Upendra Devkota Foundation Organizes Free Health Screening for Primary Students

KATHMANDU – The Upendra Devkota Foundation (UDF), in partnership with UDM-NINAS and Neuro Hospital Bansbari, and with the essential support of Kathmandu Netralaya, successfully executed a free school screening program for primary students at the neighboring Shree Mahankal Janajagrit Secondary School in Golfutar, Budhanilkantha.

The comprehensive screening initiative was spearheaded by a team of specialist consultants, including Dr. Siwani Rai, Consultant ENT Surgeon, and Dr. Asim Shrestha, Consultant Paediatric Neurologist.

This key community health effort was focused on the early identification of common visual, Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT), behavioral, and neurological concerns.

According to the Foundation, addressing these issues is crucial as they can significantly impede children’s overall growth and developmental progress, enabling the provision of timely intervention and corrective measures.
