Dhulikhel— Kathmandu University (KU) is gearing up for its annual flagship technology festival, IT MEET 2025, scheduled for December 26, 2025, at the university’s Dhulikhel campus. Organized by the Kathmandu University Computer Club (KUCC) in collaboration with the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (DoCSE), the event aims to bridge the gap between academic theory and real-world industry practices.
The festival targets a diverse audience, including high school students, undergraduates, alumni, and industry professionals, providing a platform for networking, skill-building, and innovation. Building on the success of IT MEET 2024 — which attracted over 10,000 visitors and featured Nepal’s largest in-person hackathon — this year’s edition promises an even broader lineup of activities.
Leading up to the main event, several pre-events have already generated significant engagement:
The momentum continues with the ongoing KU HackFest 2025, a 48-hour hackathon running from December 24 to 26. With 161 registered teams tackling challenges in AI/ML, AR/VR, and blockchain, the event offers a prize pool exceeding NPR 250,000.

The culmination on December 26 will feature a packed schedule at the KU Dhulikhel campus:
The total prize pool across all events surpasses NPR 370,000.
IT MEET 2025 is backed by key partners, including Diamond Champions Alpen Labs Inc. and D&S Inc., Gold sponsors Compliance Quest and Sab Ko Phone, and collaborative partner the Municipality of Banepa.
Established in 1997, the Kathmandu University Computer Club (KUCC) is a student-run, non-profit organization dedicated to promoting technological advancement and skill development in Nepal.
