PM Oli calls for unified actions to bridge financing gap

Sevilla (Spain): Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, who is on an official visit to Spain to attend the United Nations (UN)’s ‘Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development (FFD4)’, joined a private roundtable organized on Monday by the Gates Foundation to advance an independent commission for future of development assistance.   

On the occasion, PM Oli said that such type of independent commissions could contribute to bridge the financing gap for the progress of the developing and small countries.   

PM Oli also urged the stakeholders for the unified actions to bridge the financing gap and strengthen global solidarity for development cooperation.   

“I express happiness for the advancement of this commission. This could help maintain balance for investment priorities and analyses by increasing assistance for social and economic development,” the PM added.   

PM Oli stated that we should work for economic sustainability by carrying out assessments of overall economic condition of the world, climate change and disaster risk management even by considering the Paris Agreement.   

PM Oli’s chief advisor Bishnu Rimal and others were also present on the occasion.
