Revenue Rs 2.94 billion collected from mines related industries

Kathmandu: Revenue amounting to Rs 2.14 billion has been collected from mines industries. 

This revenue amount was collected during the previous fiscal year and in the first eight months of the current fiscal. 

According to the Department of Mines and Geology, this amount was collected through permits for the extraction of mine substances such as limestone, red soil, metals, and stones, as well as the renewal of such permits. 

In the last fiscal year, the Department had permitted for the extraction of limestone, tourmaline, talc, quartz, kainite, marble, iron, zinc, quartzite, magnetite, dolomite, and copper. —
