Five hydel projects agree to address local people’s demands

Myagdi: Five hydropower projects under construction in Raghuganga Rural Municipality have agreed to undertake the works under the corporate social responsibility.  

The hydel projects being constructed in Raghuganga have agreed in writing to heed various demands following intense pressure from the locals. 

After discussions with political parties, people’s representatives and locals, it was agreed to address the main demands, including up-gradation of dilapidated roads. 

The 40-MW Rahughat, 22.5-MW Borokhola ‘A’, 35.5-MW Rahughat Mangale, 21.3-MW Borokhola and 48.5-MW Upper Rahughat hydropower projects would heed the 33-point written demand.
