Prof. Dr. Rishikesh Wagle Appointed Controller of Examinations at Kathmandu University

KAVREPALANCHOK – Kathmandu University (KU) has appointed Prof. Dr. Rishikesh Wagle as its new Controller of Examinations.

The decision was made during a meeting of the University’s Executive Council on Wednesday. Dr. Wagle has been appointed for a three-year term, succeeding the outgoing Controller of Examinations, Ram Prasad Ghimire, whose tenure recently concluded.

A Distinguished Career in Law and Justice

Dr. Wagle brings over three decades of experience in the judicial and legal sectors to his new role. His professional background includes serving as a District Judge and a Government Attorney for the Government of Nepal.

He is widely recognized as an expert in several specialized legal fields, including:

• Human Rights
• Transitional Justice
• Constitutional Law

Academic Background

Prof. Dr. Wagle has a strong academic foundation and previously served as the Dean of the KU School of Law. His educational credentials include:

• Ph.D. in Law: Tribhuvan University, Nepal.
• Master’s Degree (LLM): Pune University, India.
